Tilaantuminen - Spacifying
Tilaantuminen-konsepti jatkaa työryhmän KAHR. KARH. / Maijariitta Karhulahti & Hanna Kahrola kuva- ja tanssitaidetta sulauttavaa performatiivista ja tilalähtöistä teostyöskentelyä. Konseptissa taiteellista työtä tehdään tiloista käsin. Tilat ymmärretään ja niitä tarkastellaan niin rakenteina, aikana ja paikkana kuin myös tunteina, oloina ja ajattelumalleina.
Konseptissa keskeistä on myös työn kestävyys ja jatkuvuus: sen sisällä kierrätetään ja kerrataan sekä hyödynnetään etätyökaluja.

In Spacifying consept the working group KAHR. KARH. / Maijariitta Karhulahti & Hanna Kahrola continue their collective practice between visual art and dance art. In Spacifying the artistic work is space orientated. Spaces are understood and examined as structures, time and place, as well as feelings, conditions, thoughts and mindsets.
Within the consept the focus is also on the sustainability ans continuity of work: recycling and repeating as well as utilizing remote tools in artistic work is central.

Tilaantuminen - Osa: Kuronta on ompeluperformanssin, useaan eri tilaan sijoittuvien tanssitekojen ja videoprojisoinnin yhdistävä esitystapahtuma.
Kahden esiintyjän monitaiteinen teos kysyy, missä on tilaa ja miten eri taidemuodot näyttäytyvät tilallisina ilmiöinä yksin ja suhteessa toisiinsa? Projekti ja työryhmän yhteinen tilojen tarkasteluun paneutunut konseptityöskentely on kiteyttänyt teoksen teemoiksi pinnistelyn kaiken kasassa pitämiseksi, toisen luo hakeutumisen ja yhdessä rakentamisen. Työ on herättänyt kamppailun yhtäältä raa’an ja hauskan, toisaalta tila- ja aihelähtöisen taiteen ristituulessa.
Esityksessä kaksi taiteenalaa kohtaavat yrityksenään luoda hetkessä tapahtuva ruumiillinen, visuaalinen ja meditatiivinen kudelma.

Spacifying - Part: Sewing Motion is a performative work that combines sewing performance, dance acts located in several different spaces, and video projection.
The interdisciplinary work by two performers asks where there is space and how do different art forms appear as spatial phenomena alone and in relation to each other? The project and working group's joint conceptual work focused on examining spaces have clarified the themes of the work: the effort to keep everything together, reaching out to one another, and building together. The work has sparked a struggle between raw and funny on the one hand, and site and subject oriented art on the other.
In the performance, two art forms meet in an attempt to create a physical, visual and meditative weave that takes place in the moment.

Tilaantuminen - Osa: Retrospektiivi teoskokonaisuus on kotiseutuidentiteettiä ja olemisen paikan merkityksiä kommentoiva ja pohtiva esitys. Teos on taaksekatsova muunnelma työryhmän vuonna 2014 toteuttamasta live-kuvataidetta ja videotanssia yhdistävästä teoksesta Maalaa Pohjaa.
Retrospektiivissä taiteen tekemisen tapojen sekä eri paikkojen ja aikojen välisestä vuorovaikutuksesta syntyy päällekkäisiä maailmoja, jotka ilmenevät tanssijan liikkeessä videolla ja esitystilassa sekä kuvataiteilijan liikkeessä ja luomassa jäljessä.

A performance with dance artist Hanna Kahrola includes video dance, live visual art and live contemporary dance. The performance comments and reflects on home region identity and the meanings of the place of being.
The interaction between the ways of making art and different places creates overlapping abstract worlds, which are manifested in the dancer's movement on video and in the performance space, and in the visual artist's movement and created traces.
